I approached O’Daniel Designs with a very abstract concept for the ThermActive Electronics website, a very tight timeline, and a request to provide a user-friendly interface to add/upload/delete product files. Gina responded with a website design that was right on target. Leon was very patient with my "adjustments" and spent his Memorial Day weekend completing the project so ThermActive could launch on schedule. As Deputy Director of the Washington State China Relations Council, (WSCRC) it is a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to write about our experience working with O'Daniel Designs. The WSCRC is a non-profit organization founded in 1979. I came to work at the Council in February, 2001 and our relationship with O'Daniel Designs began in June, 2001. When I met Leon and Gina, the WSCRC was in the "dark ages" when it came to using the internet as part of our daily operations. Working with Gina to layout the graphic design of our web page and Leon handling the functionality of the on-line registration process, the interface between our database and payment processing information, the WSCRC has realized a 20 percent increase in our net return on our program revenue. Moreover, we now offer services to our membership that were unimaginable prior to partnering with O'Daniel Designs. It was a major redesign of our old, static web site and included a client log-in section, powerful user-customized reports, automated credit card processing, and many more features. When we began work on 965thepoint.com, one of our biggest concerns was having a reliable host. A radio station's website gets a LOT of hits since we promote it on the air all the time.
